A Christmas Miracle

We were fortunate enough to be able to attend our dear friend's Doug wedding to the wonderful Karen this past weekend.  Mother Nature decided to give Maryland its biggest snowfall in years on that same day.  The snow started Friday night and continued all day on Saturday....we had 24" of snow before it was all said and done.


We only needed to go about 15 miles to get from our hotel to the ceremony.  We thought maybe it would take 45 minutes or an hour.  But after 1 hour and 45 minutes and getting the rental car stuck twice (right outside the church) we had missed the ceremony. 

Had we not been rushing to see if we could catch the bride and groom  I would have taken pictures of our little rental car stuck in the snow.  

Fortunately our trip back to the hotel for the reception was not as eventful and we were able to spend the evening celebrating with Doug and Karen and their family and friends.
