Our last hoorah - Wiesbaden Wine Fest
So much of life in Germany revolves around 'fests, whether they are beer or wine fests. I was so glad that Sarah was going to be around for the beginning of the Wiesbaden Wine Fest. Many a nights have been spent sitting in the Marketplatz drinking and I'm glad Sarah got to experience it with me. We had lots of fun drinking wine, eating 'brats and sampling the desserts.

Friday Hike
We finally managed to squeeze in a hike when we got back to Wiesbaden. My friend Megan came along. We actually found the same little hill top restaurant Javier and I had found hiking. This time, we stopped in for a beer.

Sarah's Trip to Obertsdorf
The last stop of our Alpine adventure was Oberstdorf. Its about as south as you can get in Germany without crossing into Austria. We rode to the top of the Nebelhorn where we were rewarded with some amazing fews. It was chilly but we toughed it out and had a great lunch outside overlooking the Alps.

Getting from Lindau to Obertsdorf
With no plan for the night we headed toward Obertsdorft and decided to stop off in a little town called Immenstadt. We were lucky to find a place to stay. The next morning we hit some ruins that were mentioned in one of our tour books. Its always and adventure when Sarah and I travel together, and that's just the way I like it.

Sarah's Trip to Lindau
I wanted Sarah to see the Alps and though I had never seen them in the summer I knew they would be beautiful. So we took a trip that was new for both of us and headed to the island town of Lindau. From here we'd be able to see The Alps in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Here'are a few of the many pictures we took.

Sarah's Visit
I was so excited when Sarah told me she was coming to visit. There was lots that I wanted to show her but we started off with a relaxing weekend exploring Wiesbaden.

Open Air Market, Lunch in KurPark, a ride on the Nerobergbahn, a view of wiesbaden, and the Orthodox church.
Sarah also got her hair cut when she got here. I think this is the only before picture I have.
